Minutes No. 1 – Founding of the Rotary Club of Rada Tilly (1994)

On September 22, 1994, with the sponsorship of the Rotary Club de Comodoro Rivadavia, the first formal meeting was held to initiate the formation of the future Rotary Club de Rada Tilly. participated with the shared goal of establishing a local club to promote Rotary values.
During the meeting, the fundamentals and guiding principles of the Rotary movement were presented, fostering a meaningful exchange of ideas. It was agreed that each participant from Rada Tilly would invite new individuals interested in joining the club, with the aim of reaching the required number of members to obtain the Charter (Carta Constitutiva).
The meeting day was set for Thursdays at 9:30 p.m., with a maximum duration until midnight. The next meeting was scheduled for Thursday, September 29, to be held at the barbecue area of Rotarian Raúl Vitullo, who kindly offered his space for this purpose.
This first gathering concluded in a spirit of fellowship, symbolized by a shared barbecue among friends — an event considered the foundational act of the Rotary Club of Rada Tilly.

With the commitment and participation of numerous residents of Rada Tilly, and after several meetings held in different homes, the charter was obtained on January 19, 1995, signed by the then President of Rotary International, Bill Hutley.
Years later, during the presidency of Guillermo Schneider, the Rotary Club of Rada Tilly received a certificate formally recognizing its organization, endorsed with the signature of Rotary International President, Stephanie A. Urchick.
